In what could only be called a "Nightmarish Success Story", Catharsis Alter has left a bloody trail of music and
mayhem in the wake of their tours across the European continent. Despite being one of the most sought after acts on the Metal
circuit with record shattering ticket sales, the group still remains a key player of the scene.
Both television and radio have refused airtime to the group due to the sinister nature of their music as well as the unique
effects it has upon it's listeners. The American Government banned the group and their work outright after reports of the
bands horrific past reached their shores in late December of last year.
Despite their media blackout, the groups reputation (although localized strictly to the North Eastern hemisphere) is one
of the strongest in the region since before the Beetles, raking in hundreds of thousands of dollars in revenue from ticket
sales only. Few bands survive from concert sales alone, and no where will you see a t-shirt stand or CD rack offering merchandise
from the group. Not even iTunes can secure download rights to recordings of their music, simply because very few recordings
exists.
This makes Catharsis Alter one of the most intriguing mysteries in the modern music scene.
As if a band that only performs their music live and supports it's career solely upon the price per head at the ticket counter
wasn't interesting enough, the darker aspects of the groups history only adds fuel to an already burning fire.
Occult affiliation accusations, group members being assaulted and torn to shreds by crazed fans, and strange environmental
special effects have done nothing to improve the band's reputation within the mainstream media.
An example is Rembrandt LeBrette. He was the band's bassist for two years, until during a performance of their most popular
tune "Wicked Cup" when a group of fans broke through the stage barrier and dismembered him with their bare hands.

What does the future hold for Catharsis Alter? Religious figures believe them to be tools of the devil, some even going as
far as to say they are direct manifestations of him, while the metal fans of Europe mourn the passing over of a titan. Rumors
have circulated that Zessinthal has fought and won an appeal to lift the ban of his group in America, though no confirmation
has been issued. Whatever the case may be, Catharsis Alter has left their mark on the hearts of these metal fans, as well
as a deep scar upon the heart of Europe herself. Only time will tell where this powerful group will land once back to full
strength, and what horrors it may bring along with it. One thing is for certain, these European metal fans will not be the
last to worship at the Catharsis Alter.
